Couples Antenatal Classes
Becoming a parent is life-changing. It’s wonderful, it’s challenging, it’s messy. It’s also exciting, full of self-sacrifice and is without doubt one of the most rewarding adventures you will ever embark on. There’s so much conflicting advice out there, so whose opinion do you listen to? Our course is everything you’d get at a hospital based course, plus the biblical stuff and more! It is presented by a team including professional midwives and baby clinic nurses, with private and hospital experience. Our aim is to prepare you for your new arrival, enabling you to make the choices that will be best for you and your family, and create opportunity for you to build relationships that will help you through this new chapter.

Course Content
Our sessions cover the Third Trimester of Pregnancy, Birth Plans, Natural Labour & Birth, Caesarean Birth, and both Natural and Pharmacological Pain Control methods.

Breastfeeding, Baby basics, Vaccinations, Budgeting, Post-Natal Depression, Marriage & Sex, and Childbirth in the Bible. We do some myth busting, Practical Demos, and give you additional content on subjects we don’t have time to cover in our sessions.

The Saturday morning includes a valuable refresher session for Grandparents-To-Be (A Zoom link will be provided to those Grandparents that can’t make it in person).

Fees & Registration
R1 365 per couple*

Fees includes a comprehensive antenatal manual, teaching on five Monday evenings and one Saturday morning.

Pre-registration for the course is essential.

Fees must be paid prior to the course via an online payment link, emailed to you once pre-registration has closed. Some medical aids may reimburse you for the course. Please consult with your medical aid provider for more information.

Punctuality
There is a lot to get through each week, so we will start promptly at 6:30pm for 7pm (ends around 9pm / 9:30)
